Peace, the word everybody often admires, the feeling one wishes to acquire, and the situation one aspires to settle with, is a beautiful phenomenon.

When it is serene, when calm night falls upon with clear moon and those tiny twinkling stars, when you hold your hands with someone you can connect to, and when you spill out what has been weighing you down for so long, when everything feels settled, it comes after, the peace.

Donald L. Hicks quoted, “When you nurture nature, Nature nurtures you.” Drawing conclusion in slang, it can be described as a “Give and take condition”. Literally, as we can see, everything in world is about the give and take. Everything, just everything, requires nurture first to be nurtured back later. Even the most loved “Peace” needs to be nurtured for it to nurture one back.

Similarly, Nurturing peace, how can one do that? Let’s learn from the nature, in particular, from nurturing a flower. Starting from the point of planting the seed. Having faith on its growth and having patience even though it takes longer than it is expected to grow. Watering it and feeding it with the right amount of sunlight until it starts to come out.

After the seed sprouts, it needs the continuous support. Comprising oneself for the sake of what’s the best for tranquillity. Weighing the right amount of investment of any emotions such as love, sadness, frustration and all. Similarly, lubricating the peace with the love and care instead of being harsh and illogical until a flower starts to bloom.

There are flowers that wither and there will be peace that vanishes. For this, all it would take is to have patience, be logical and send warm hugs instead of cold judgemental gaze. Hence, nurturing peace takes the patience, love and understanding because across the globe, there are no strangers but ourselves.
